Fall is coming….

Fall is on it’s way to New Mexico!

This is heralded by two key changes:

1. When I get up to run at 5AM, it’s now fully dark. Thankfully, I’ve had the Harvest Super Moon to light my way the past week, but that light is starting to fade….

2. I wake up and it is less than 75 degrees. I will even go so far as to say that I ran this morning in sub-70 degree weather. Talk about seriously refreshing!

Fall is my favorite season of the year, and the next month of running is full of racing, travel for school, and hopefully, a lot of trail running.  This weekend, I am plan to race the Santa Fe Thunder Half Marathon, a local event put on by Global Running Culture to benefit the Global Footprints programs. Not only is it running for a good cause, but the course is scenic, and it is always fun to race in my local running communities.

As always, Run Happy!  As I look forward to running and racing this fall, I would like to give a shout to my wonderful sponsors: Brooks Running for clothing and shoeing me through many, many miles, Powerbar for pre- and post- workout nutrition, and a special wave to the Abq Running Shop for the support and wonderful new technology.
